As we return to what we consider a more ‘normal’ existence and look back at the last eighteen months, we can all say that we have been affected by the Pandemic in ways that may not yet be clear. What we all have in common is that, in some way, we have had to adapt and alter our everyday lives. It’s all been about change. And as a species, we are often quite reluctant or even scared of change. So allow me to spotlight Rose Absolute: an oil for acceptance.
Acceptance is an emotion that is hard to achieve when faced with stressful, strange situations out of our comfort zone. However, I would like to share with you some thoughts about using your essential oils and in particular, Rose, which may help you and your loved ones move towards a state of acceptance. So that as we emerge from this long period of change, we can comfortably move towards regaining our ‘normality’.
Rose Absolute – Rosa damascena – is extracted from hundreds of rose petals using a solvent extraction as opposed to Rose Otto which is steam distilled. This ultimately makes Rose Absolute a more ‘wallet-friendly’ essential oil. They are different aromatically but have similar therapeutic properties and effects.
What is Rose good for?
Aromatically, Rose Absolute has a tenacious floral aroma that is honeyed and sweet and in my opinion quite sublime!
I would like to focus on two areas of support that Rose excels in.
- Rose is considered euphoric – it can help counteract negative feelings and reduce the shadows of past emotional trauma.
- Rose is also considered to be a heart tonic, helping to diminish feelings associated with loss and emotional heartache.
Most of us will resonate with these two scenarios, either from this last year or from a time before. I would encourage you to seek out Rose Absolute as a way to support your emotional health.
Here are two blends that may go some way to aid you in moving into acceptance and feeling nourished along the way.
