Whilst we’re excited about our newfound freedom, navigating the new world for some may be causing feelings of apprehension. April marks Stress Awareness Month which aims to increase awareness of both the causes and cures for stress. And whilst feelings of stress and anxiety need to be handled with serious care, selfcare can also be a handy tool to help ease those emotions.
We spoke to our essential oils expert, Jo Kellett about using essential oils for easing stress:
“Essential oils are ideal to assist us in stressful situations. Many of the oils have properties that can alleviate stress symptoms, such as shortness of breath, changes to our digestive system or changes to our sleep pattern. Using essential oils in a diffuser for example is an effective and easy way to incorporate the oils into your daily routine. A diffuser can sit on your desk or on your bedside table. Just by smelling essential oils you will perceive an emotional change in your daily stress levels.”
Diffuser blend to ease stress
Add the following essential oils to the water in your Aroma Spa diffuser:
1 drop of Neroli – Citrus aurantium amara
2 drops of Frankincense – Boswellia carterii
5 drops of Bergamot – Citrus aurantium bergamia
