Our ethically harvested Petitgrain (Orange Leaf) essential oil originates from Paraguay. It's extracted using steam distillation, where the oil is drawn from the young leaves and twigs of the Bitter Orange Tree, to produce a thin oil with a faint yellow tinge.

Emotionally
Petitgrain has a restorative effect, helping to ease nervous exhaustion and restore balance during times of emotional upset. Its zesty, green scent lifts the mood to leave you feeling more centred and at ease.

Physically
Petitgrain is both clearing and rejuvenating for the skin. It is especially helpful for oily, congested or combination skin types, and is also a gentle option for sensitive skin. Add it to your favourite blending oil to create a skin-nourishing treatment.

Aromatically, Petitgrain is a middle note essential oil, the main body and balance of a blend, meaning its scent will last a few hours. It blends well with Cypress, Frankincense or Orange.

Also known as Orange Leaf, Petitgrain essential oil is obtained from the aromatic leaves of the Bitter Orange Tree. The flowers produce Neroli. The tree was originally native to China, although nowadays it also thrives in the hot climates of southern France, Algeria, Spain and Paraguay. The leaves are speckled with tiny sacs of essential oil that you can see clearly if you hold a leaf up to the light.

Simple and effective ways to incorporate Petitgrain essential oil into your daily routine.

Diffuser Blend 8Drops

Add 6-8 drops of Petitgrain to your diffuser to create a calming atmosphere. Helps to soothe overwrought emotions and boost feelings of joy to help you through emotional upset.

Massage Blend5Drops Per 10ml

Add up to 5 drops of Petitgrain per 10 ml of blending oil, or 2 drops per 10ml for a facial blend. Helps to clear and rejuvenate the skin, particularly oily, congested and combination skin.

Skin Blend2Drops Per 10ml

Add 2 drops of Petitgrain per 10 ml of blending oil for a facial blend, or up to 5 drops per 10 ml for use on the body. Helpful for all skin types, particularly oily, congested and combination skin. It is also helpful for balancing sensitive skin.

Bath Blend6Drops Per 20ml

Add 4 to 6 drops of Petitgrain to 20ml of blending oil – enough for around 3 baths. Add to the water just before you get in and swirl it around. Helps to relieve nervous exhaustion and emotional upset, calming emotions and boosting feelings of joy.
