Around the home
Lime can be used to naturally clean surfaces. Simply add 4 drops of essential oil and 2 tablespoons of baking soda to half a litre of water to clean and brighten kitchen and bathroom surfaces. You can also use lime as a deodoriser. Add a few drops of essential oil to a cotton ball and place near your bin to keep unwanted smells at bay.

It was first introduced to Europe by early Arab traders. Limes are now cultivated throughout many warm climate countries and grow natively in South America, thanks to successful naturalisation.
