How Eucalyptus Essential Oil Helps You Move Freely This Winter
What is Eucalyptus Essential Oil?
Eucalyptus essential oil is instantly recognisable by its fresh, bracing, and clearing aroma, like a blast of fresh air.
Steam-distilled from the leaves of the Eucalyptus tree and native to Australia, Eucalyptus globulus is just one of hundreds of different types of Eucalyptus that belong to the Myrtaceae family. Indigenous populations have utilised Eucalyptus leaves for medicinal purposes for centuries.

Eucalyptus for Muscle Relief
Well-known for its decongestant properties, Eucalyptus oil helps to clear and refresh the airways. But did you know it can also help relieve muscular aches and pains?
How Cineole (Eucalyptol) Supports Muscle Comfort
Eucalyptus is rich in a component called 1-8 Cineole (also known as Eucalyptol), which research shows can act as an analgesic, helping to relieve pain. It also encourages blood flow to muscles and joints, bringing warmth to the body and relieving stiffness and discomfort, perfect for general aches and pains during the colder winter months.
This warming action can help:
- Relax tense muscles
- Reduce the feeling of stiffness
- Improve comfort during movement
Using Eucalyptus as your go-to oil for moving freely this winter is a definite must!
