How to self-massage
Start by taking a small amount of your massage and body oil into your hands and rub them together to warm the oil. You can repeat this with more oil at any time.
Start at your ankles, and working your way up the entire body, massage the oil into the skin. You can use slow sweeping movements and apply pressure to where you feel you need it the most.
Is self-massage effective?
While there’s little evidence on self-massage itself, there’re many studies that show massages can help ease pains and aches, as well as research that shows the importance of making time for self-care. Put the two and two together and you have a strong case for self-massage as an effective way to release tension and unwind.
