Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli is naturally calming and comforting. It can help to ease feelings of panic, anxiety and restlessness, and its gentle aroma is soothing for the mind, encouraging peaceful sleep and creating a sense of emotional balance. It’s a great choice for managing emotional upset and stress.

Physically
Neroli is nourishing for dry and mature skin, helping to restore its vitality while being gentle enough for all skin types. It can also be used as a dreamy perfume – simply add 1 drop of essential oil to 5ml of blending oil and apply to the chest and neck area to let the floral scent envelop you. When used in a massage blend, Neroli can help to calm digestive issues and ease indigestion.

Neroli essential oil has a soft, delicate fragrance with a sweet floral aroma.

Aromatically, Neroli is a base note essential oil, the longest lasting scent in a blend. It blends well with Sandalwood, Orange or Lavender.

Neroli essential oil is distilled from the blossoms of the Bitter Orange Tree, which is also the source of Petitgrain (Orange Leaf) essential oil. This tree originates from Myanmar, Northeast India and Southern China.

Interestingly, the name Neroli is not related to the plant itself but, instead, to a member of the French aristocracy in the 17th Century, Anna Marie de Tremoille, Princess of Nerola, who was famous for using Orange Blossom to fragrance her gloves and bath water. Oranges at that time were considered a true luxury item, and today Neroli oil is considered a precious oil and is widely used in perfumery.
