Our ethically harvested Rose Absolute oil originates from Bulgaria. It's extracted from the petals of the rose flower using solvent extraction to produce an oil with a medium thickness and a golden orange colour.

Aromatically, Rose Absolute is a base note oil, the longest lasting scent in a blend. It blends well with Jasmine, Grapefruit or Neroli.

The exact origin of the Rose species (Rosa damascena) is unknown, but some historians trace it back to Damascus, Syria’s ancient capital. Others believe it originally comes from historic Persia (modern-day Iran). In the 1600s, a Turkish merchant is credited with introducing large-scale cultivation of Rosa damascena to Bulgaria, where it still thrives today.

Rose Absolute is produced by using chemical solvents to dissolve the fragrance from the petals. The mixture is then reprocessed to remove the solvents, leaving the ‘absolute’ oil, which is orange-red in colour.

Rose Absolute Oil

Simple and effective ways to incorporate Rose Absolute oil into your daily routine.

Diffuser Blend 8Drops

Add 6-8 drops of Rose Absolute to your diffuser to create a supportive and calming atmosphere. Helps to soothe the emotions and bring about a sense of calm. Particularly helpful for counteracting negative feelings and easing the symptoms of hormone-related mood swings.

Massage Blend5Drops Per 10ml

Add up to 5 drops of Rose Absolute per 10ml of blending oil, or 2 drops per 10ml for a facial blend. Helps to relieve frustration and feelings of overwhelm. Also helpful for overcoming tiredness and menopausal hot flashes.

Skin Blend2Drops Per 10ml

Add 2 drops of Rose Absolute per 10 ml of blending oil for a facial blend, or up to 5 drops per 10 ml for use on the body. Hydrating and soothing for dry, aging or inflamed skin. Helpful for all skin types.

Bath Blend6Drops 20ml

Add 4 to 6 drops of Rose Absolute to 20ml of blending oil – enough for around 3 baths. Add to the water just before you get in and swirl it around. Helps to ease hormone-related mood swings and counteract negative feelings to bring a sense of calm.

Inhalation3Drops

Add 3 drops of Rose Absolute to a bowl of hot water. Place a towel over your head, close your eyes and breathe in the steam. Helps to soothe the emotions and bring about a sense of calm. The steam can also help to cleanse and hydrate the skin. This application is not suitable for asthmatics. Instead use a diffuser.
